Proxima is Giesse’s ultra-slim three-wing hinge, part of Quanex, designed for aluminum entrance doors with European Chamber and R Chamber profiles. The aluminum door and window market has fully embraced and solidified the trend toward aesthetically refined and technologically advanced solutions, characterized by minimal profiles and components. For this reason, Giesse has chosen to nominate Proxima for the 2025 edition of the Window and Door Awards.
What are the Awards del Serramento?
The Awards del Serramento (Windows and Doors Awards) are presented by renowned Italian magazine Nuova Finestra to those products that push forward innovation and excellence in the world of windows and doors.
The awards are given at the end of a competition, whose voters consist of a jury of experts as well as readers of the magazine itself and the Guida Finestra website. Within the contest, votes are cast on a selection of products divided into 13 different categories.
The categories for the 2025 edition are:
- Accessories and hardware (in which Giesse competes with Proxima);
- Accessories for windows and frames;
- Components for insulated glass units and thermal break systems;
- Windows;
- Timber;
- Machinery for glass and frames;

The awards ceremony will take place at the Serramento Awards gala evening, Wednesday, October 1st, at Palazzo Gnudi, in the heart of the historic center of Bologna.
